In response to the exhibition theme "Healing," I thought of the "light" from a small night lamp, a light that creates ambiance or provides a bit of guidance in the dark, rather than serving as illumination. I remember having a fiber optic lamp at home when I was a child—a bundle of thin fiber optics emerging from a spherical base. The fibers naturally curved and spread out, with each tip glowing due to the light source from the base, resembling a starry sky. Although the lamp was made with simple scientific principles and basic technology, the visual experience it created fascinated me; I could stare at it for hours. In this series of works, I attempt to recreate that visual experience by combining ceramics and light. Using the structure and form of the ceramics, along with low-lumen bulbs, I shape the light and contain it within a small space. The viewer can observe the different appearances of the light from various angles.
